This recipe was developed during a time in my life that called for learning the correlation between the state of my womb, energetic and physical boundaries, and how these actions manifest through our physical health, as well as how we carry ourselves while navigating the world.
What we hold and store in our wombs, and the relationship we develop to it, can be a place to birth such creative energy, abundance, and light. Sometimes this journey called life requires us to first experience the hardships of a lack of connection to our womb and spirit, and this plant serves as the bridge between that discovery.
If that looks like healing from sexual or childhood trauma, identity blockages, shame, guilt, and abuse, it can show up in the form of a lack mindset, physical ailments, money blockages, and insecurity.
A part of connecting to the medicine is knowing how to develop the remedy for yourself in times of trials and hardship, apply it, and pass its wisdom along.
We are not here to be worshipped, praised, or idolized, but to find a connection to the tools provided to us by who created us, and then to pass that inner standing along to humanity and those who can benefit.
When I think of what this plant has represented for me in my life, there is a delicacy that is expressed in witnessing its full cycle of growth, which is how we came about connecting.
I studied this plant as an ally when embodying the role of a seed farmer, in which the notion that the personality of a plant is reflected in what it is medicinally and physically supportive of.
A pungent, very protective plant who gently demands respect when being approached or touched. Resilient through multiple seasons, not easy to kill, with very few predators.
A lesson on cleansing, protection, hygiene, boundaries, and cutting ties with things standing in the way of you and yourself.
I am all for reawakening the senses, and this recipe is formulated with plants specific to freshen your thoughts through scent, to get clear on what does and doesn’t deserve your attention, heart, and mind.
An OG recipe from 2020, from my hands, soil, seed, and heart to yours.
Use as a cologne, add to baths, or mop water to freshen up your space.
These were originally sold alongside our IntiArt Womb Warmers and were placed as an abdominal massage before wearing those garments as ceremony.
Please be mindful that RUE is strong and should not be used directly on the womb for pregnant women. This has been supportive for stagnant cycles and all parts of womanhood.
Grown from plants in our farm plot, made in house, rue harvested from the plant from our original recipe. 💖
